Offering a simple and clean user interface with large programmable buttons, TRBO.SOS has been created with lone workers and potentially vulnerable individuals in mind. The app is fully customisable by the TRBOnet Administrator – allowing you to select which features and buttons specific app users have access to. Changes to the user interface of individual or groups of apps can be made centrally “on the fly” should procedures or requirements change in the future. Call for Help Designed to work in dangerous situations where every second counts, TRBO.SOS gives users several routes to alert response teams. A main “press-and-hold” emergency button is the core of the TRBO.SOS app. The emergency button can be set to instantly initiate an alarm in an onsite or third-party control room on their TRBOnet control software and/or mobile responders via their TRBOnet Mobile Apps. Location data is automatically sent with the emergency alert and up-to-date GPS information will continue to be sent until the alarm is deactivated, allowing the response teams to track a user’s movements until help gets to them. Separate buttons can also be deployed on the app to raise distinct alerts to first aiders, fire marshals or security teams. The UI of TRBO.SOS also includes a phone call button. You can add an emergency contact to your smartphone and a simple press of this button will dial the contact when needed. For scenarios where discretion is vital, TRBO.SOS offers integration with V.ALRT buttons that can be worn on the wrist, belt or around the neck. To initiate an emergency call, you need only press the key on your V.ALRT button and the silent alarm will be sent. Last but not least, shake detection can be utilised to send an emergency. Simply shake the smart device running TRBO.SOS and be assured that help is on the way. Proactive Monitoring Alongside the reactive features like the aforementioned emergency and alerting buttons, TRBO.SOS enables users to activate their own lone-worker or “check-in” timers from their smartphone or tablet. Once initiated, the timer counts down, alerting the user to re-set the timer prior to its expiry. If the timer reaches zero without the user re-setting it, an emergency alarm is raised. The lone-worker timer can be customised by the device user before they set it. If a user is feeling like they might be in a dangerous of volatile situation, they can set the countdown timer for as little as 5 minutes. Likewise, if the user does not feel they need to check-in regularly, this can be set to as high as 90 minutes. The flexibility this provides is crucial to offering the right solution to an array of users who will may face a variety of different situations each day. Alongside the lone worker timer, TRBO.SOS offers man-down, non-movement and shake detection functionality. Your TRBO.SOS users can have peace-of-mind that they have a variety of ways to call for assistance. Report Incidents If you enable the push-to-talk button on a user’s TRBO.SOS app, they’ll be able to contact the control room operator for non-emergency purposes. This is ideal for reporting less urgent problems or requested less critical support. Control Room operators can also request to talk to a TRBO.SOS user at any time. A picture says a thousand words and TRBO.SOS offers a button that allows users to take a photo from their smart device, caption it and send it to the TRBOnet operator. This feature could be useful for a variety of reasons – from allowing a teacher to report a smashed window at a college to an maintenance worker notifying an estates helpdesk of a lightbulb part number at a shopping centre.
