Product Update: HKNN4013ASP01 BT90
The new HKNN4013ASP01 BT90 battery was recently released to replace the cancelled HKNN4013A battery. The HKNN4013ASP01 is only to be used with CLP and CLPe Series License-Free Business Radios. It is not intended for use with, nor designed to work with, the MOTOTRBO SL4000 or SL4000e Series. If the HKNN4013ASP01 battery is used in the SL Series, a battery reading error will be generated.
The original BT90 (HKNN4013A) battery, which was compatible with both the CLP and the SL Series, has been discontinued due to the end of life of an EEPROM chip contained within the battery. The newly designed BT90 battery (HKNN4013ASP01) does not contain an EEPROM chip and therefore will not be recognised by SL Series radios. The only SL series compatible battery currently available is the ultra high capacity model (PMNN4468B). Users switching from lower capacity batteries will need to purchase the larger battery cover separately to accommodate the increased thickness of the ultra-high capacity battery.
